Counterfactual poll

As long-time readers no doubt know, paying subscribers to the Counterfactual can vote for a topic they’d like me to explore in a future post. In some cases, these are empirical projects, i.e., collecting new data of some kind; in other cases, they are explainers, i.e., a comprehensive review of some concept or methodology. The goal is to involve readers in the process of selecting which research projects or topics I end up pursuing. This process has yielded some of my favorite posts, like my guide on becoming an LLM-ologist, my mechanistic interpretability explainer, and my review of vision-language models.
